What is a Bonnell Spring Unit?
Bonnell springs are connected by a network of steel wire, with each spring shaped like an hour glass. When pressure is applied, the springs work in unison to evenly distribute weight across the mattress. While they provide even weight distribution, they don’t conform to body curves as effectively as a pocket spring system. As a result, the Bonnell spring unit tends to be bouncier and less contouring than pocket spring system.
